Well, you seem to think shooting a buck that walks by first morning is no challenge.
So now you are atributing other people's statements to me?? You complained about another member "making stuff up" in a post about you..........yet you are on about a 4 post streak of either "making stuff up" about me or thinking I said something that someone else actually said.

If you are reading the same thread then you might want to go a little slower

Getting a deer on the last day of season is not anymore of a challenge, it just happens that things work out different everytime.
So........getting a deer on day 1 is no challenge (not my words)...........and now you say getting a deer on the last day is no challenge...........When is it a challenge?

They are not as common or easy to get.
That is confusing...........if that is really the reason then why do guys try and "push" others to pass small bucks so there will be more older bucks in the woods?? This would make them more common.......and easier to get. Doesn't make sense.

Im sick of the i hunt for meat thing. I dont shoot "small"bucks, but i got 5 does last year and the Buck i got even had meat on it, it wasent all rack.
So what about the guys out there that are lucky if they get one chance at a deer all year?? Should they pass on a 1 1/2 yr old buck even though that may be their only chance at some meat?

You know me writing these replys to atlas is really a lost cause. As you can see he does not bother to reply to any of my posts, he just hates me that much []Maybe if he put on his big boy pants today he would take me off ignore.....probably not though.I think it is hilarious that atlas has to make one of these posts every year trying to make him feel better about himself. If you ever took a mature buck let alone one with your bow you would know where we are coming from. Perhaps its to hard for you tounderstand never being in the situation? So, maybe your argument would hold more merit if you were speaking from experience.Any time a thread comes up about passing the buck or scoring deer he crawls out from under his "hidden online status" rock with his barrage of quotes and nonsense rebuttals, then disappears until the next round of pointless quotes and replys.Have you ever saw him offer help or suggestions in a positive manner in any of his posts? Don't believe me? Look through his recent post list.

I believe it comes down to two things. How many deer you have harvested in your lifetime and how much time are you willing to invest to improve. For those who spend just one day in the woods, don't scout and will take the first thing that comes down the trail it's hard for you to understand what a HUNTER is all about. On the other hand, when you have harvested a nice buck each year because you scout, spend hours upon hours in the wood each year, not just the first day of the season and are rewarded with another nice buck, you want to improve your hunting. To me this is being able to harvest not just a buck, but the biggest bruiser in the woods. I have nothing against doe hunting and harvesting smaller buck, but I figure it's just like life. You get out of it what you put into it.

Some people just don't like to be proven wrong.

I think it is more challenging to shoot a mature buck over a spike because there are less mature bucks in the woods than spikes.

taking every shot he can at someone who passes on a buck
I have reposted my quote about 5 times already about my feelings on what other hunters do.........it's easy to find. Read it and you will see the error in your above statement.

Atlas I have a question for you. Do you have a problem with catch and release fishermen?
I don't have a probelm with any fishermen or hunter or the way they choose to fish or hunt..........as long as it is safe and legal.

So you assume that everyone out there that doesn't chase antlers doesn't scout or put any work into the pre season to have more success come shooting time??

I agree.

Why do you think it is then that so many guys want to make it easier by increasing the number of them out there?

Good question. I don't know the answer to that, because I just found out what this topic is about!
