Which Summit stand should i get
#12
I think I would vote for the Viper XLS if given a choice. If you are going to use it for both gun and bow then I would choose the standard Viper over the Ultra simply because I think the gun rest would get in the way and be a pain to constantly take off and put back on depending on what weapon you were using.
I like the Bullet too though and we sold alot of them down at the local shop. But, as mentioned above, if you are not going to be packing it in for a long hike to your stand then it doesn't serve any major advantage.

I own and really like the Revolution. Comfort is nice. I'm a big person. 6-2 255lbs, and it suits me very well. The foot rest is very nice. The laid back style is very comfortable. Plus, it has the summit quality behind it. Take a look, it's worth it.

I purchased the bullet before this season and i wouldn't do without it. i have a few buddies who wish they
waited and got the bullet instead of the viper. it is so much easier to pack when it fold flat. if you do much
packing, i would go with the bullet and get some shoulder padded straps.

I agree with just throw it. I just bought the Revolution for my dad for Christmas. It's the most comfortable stand summit makes and is for bow and gun hunting. It looks like the bullet and backpack don't come with a foot rest. I also looked at the Python but decided on the Revolution for comfort (It's about two pounds heavier)

P.S. Natchez shooter supply has the best prices. I paid $239.00

I just purchased a Summit Goliath stand.
The advantage of the Viper and Goliath as well as some other Summit models is that they don't have any moving parts to make noise. You just put the cable around the tree and that's it - no parts, knobs, screws, toggle bolts, etc.
I'm sure all the Summit stands are good and better than most.
I'm 260#s and I need the additional size of the Goliath. At 170#s, the Goliath would be great if you hunt when its very cold and you're packing thick layers of clothing. In this case, the Goliath would make it very easy to transition from sitting to standing and vice-versa.
Good luck with your choice.
