finally my husband has narrowed his search down to only two bows they are the bowtech black knight and the matthews black max. he wishes to purchase one of these bows in the next few days and since he is really in a quandry over his decision he really wants help and opinons from any one who has one or has shot them or knows something about either of these bows. all replys appreciated, thanks from annie and mr. guns

Sounds like your husband has a need for speed
. If he is experienced with bows he' ll do fine - but if this is his first I would suggest something on the " lighter" side. Those two bows are indeed fast; however, no arrow will ever shoot past the speed of sound, and he will have to give up a lot of forgiveness and other attributes to achieve that speed he desires
. I would flip a coin on the choices - they are both equal in form and function

You can' t go wrong with the Black Knight II, IMO. I have had mine for a year and love it. I would not be too concerned about the forgiveness of this bow. I went from 42 inch ATA and fingers shooting about 218 fps to the BK II and a release and am more accurate with the new bow. The release would account for a lot of that but believe me, forgiveness is not an issue with this bow. The only problem you have is not being able to see the arrows in flight [
]. What a problem to have.
