WELL, YOU HAVE ALOT TO CHOOSE FROM FOR THAT PRICE. If you meant $500 for the bow only (no accessories included) then look at the Bowtech ES and Mighty Might. Mathews FX and SQ2 are good choices also. If you meant $500 for the bow, sight, quiver, arrows, peep, stabilizer, arrows, etc. then I would lean toward the Browning Tornado, PSE Fireflight, Pearson, and MANYother brand bows. One thing - most all modern bows will be " fast" , but sometimes a bow is better when it shoots smoother and quieter at 270 FPS than a bow that is noisy at 300 fps. I consider anything above 260 FPS fast - especially if shooting aluminum arrows. I' m glad that my wife bought me my FX!

i would recommend the Buckmaster G2 or G2XL bows that retail for 499.00. they are comparable in speeds of other bows in this range. they have a very adjustable cam with modules and they are built very well. they shoot great to with a very forgiving 7 1/2" brace height and the G2xl is built with a long riser that aims like a longer bow making it more forgiving. i like mine and will hunting everything from Pa whitetail to Tenn. wild boar and hopefully a bear trip to Maine.

Perhaps I am biased but, this is part of the reason I keep hunting with my Martin Cougar Magnum. Under $500 and very fast!
36 1/2" axle to axle, 6.5" brace height, choice of 65% or 75% letoff modules.

I have not had any experience with this brand of bows, but their was a post a few days ago about " Diamond" bows. Sounded like a lot of people liked them, quiet & fast. Might be worth checking into.
