This is my first year of bowhunting, and i bought a packaged bow to start out. I was wondering how u guys know which is the best stabilizer for your bow? What exactly are they supposed to do for you?
and if so, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

They are supposed to help with balance, noise and overall handshock when firing the bow. There are tons of different styles and lengths to choose from. If your using it for hunting, id recommend a shorter one since they are alot easier to meaneuver in the woods. I have a 4 inch carbon express that does the job well. My next bow will have one of the new Octane piston style ones on it, they seem sweet. Good Luck.

The ability of a stabilizer to perform is in direct proportion to how cool you think it looks. Some are definatelyless effectivethan others but if you think it works, then it does.

Honestly dirtyd, if i were in your shoes i would go to wallyworld and get a sims s-coin stabilizer. they work and they are pretty cheap. Theres no since in spending a bunch of money when you are new to the sport.

I second the Sims S-Coil. For the price they are worth it. I can feel a pretty big difference in hand shock with it. It may not look as cool or come in Realtree camo, but for vibration purposes, it cant be beat.
