Default Viper Sights

Anyone try outthe Viper Predator 500 / 1000 sights with the 0.010 sized pins?

Are they as fragile as one might think they are? It seems that a strong gust of wind could break the fiber optics. But I like the thought of using those tiny pins for long range shooting.

I use the pro2000 with the .019's Thinking about getting the .010 in green for my bottom pin. They are a well made site, everything is pretty protected.

Those pins are decently durable. I've hunted 3 sesaon with a viper sight. Have a .019 on for my top to pins out to 35 yards, then have a .010 for the 40 yard pin. Those tiny ones are not much to look at in low light though, even practicing in the yard in the evening can be tough. But I've yet to break one in 3 seasons, not even the fiber.

i have the predator...not sure bout the other sights..but i know my pins are all metal...unless something got inside the pin housing, they arent gunna break. they would have to be pulled or ripped out or something like that....

i had 4 .010 pins....i found that lowlight it was impossible to see them in certain areas shooting certain targets...were talkin almost dark....i went and had a .019 green pin thrown on top and boy what a world of difference. and still have me .019s for longer range stuff....love the setup...

I have 3 Viper sights, I use .019 pins as my main pins with a .010 for my longest pin as well.
Very durable and well built sights.

I have several Viper sights and two with .010 pins. They are the best sights I feel money can buy up to this point.
