is the 3d select worth the extra $ for 3d?

I just purchased a dozen carbon express 300 3d selects from my local pro shop. I bought a dozen cx 300' s there last year. My friend at the pro shop told me that the cx shafts are just the 3d selects that don' t meet the specs they want for the select shafts. They both weigh 8 grains per inch, but the selects have a .001 tolerance, and the cx shafts have a .003 tolerance. So they are basically the same shaft, but the selects are of tighter specs. Worth the extra money, I can' t honestly say, but you are getting a little better shaft with the selects. The decision is up to you in the end though. Hope this helps.

Definately the 3D Select. The extra money is well worth the confidence of the straightness and the weight tolerances.
