Default QAD issues

ok, since nobody here shoots a QAD ultra rest on his or her 82nd, I thought I tried to put the rest on my tomkat. "Why would you wantdo that, Frank" you might ask !!!
Well, fellow marksmen I have a slight clicking noise coming from the launcher, it hits the riser. No way to raise it high enough to stop it from hitting the riser.
So I switched bows and on the tomkat the space between the launcher down and the riser is almost double than that on the 82nd. AND I STILL HEAR THAT CLICKIN' NOISE !!!
There's about 1/3 inch inbetween on my tomkat and 1/6 on the 82nd.
IS this just me, you might wonder, is this belgian guy going nuts over a few decibels ???

So should I just toss the QAD out of the window and buy me a hostage Pro ???

I've never had an issue with my QAD's hitting the riser and making noise. But if you can't eliminate that, maybe you could install a Sims pador something else soft for the launcher to make contact with rather than the riser. If that doesn't work, maybe something is defective in the rest itself. Exchange it for another one and try it. I have a couple of the Hunter versions ($50) and they have worked great for me.

I just put on QAD Hunter model on my BT. It certainly is not as loud as my old Ripcord rest. Have you tried contacting Quality Archery Designs tech support?

I contacted QAD for help, I explained them the situation and they sent me a replacement arm to attach the rest to the riser but that didn't help. Since I'm living in Belgium sending it back isn't an option, I'm gonna try and find some piece of foam to catch the launcher when it drops.......

Actually my biggest problem with all this american made gear is that I'm the only one shooting it. I get my input from HNI and it makes me far better equiped than the majority of shooters at my range. BUT things like sounds, I can't compare......
I need to move to some state where there'slots of whitetail, bowhunters will be plenty there...............

which laucher arm are you using? You could try to switch to the low valley one....that should give you about 1/2 in to raise it. That should help some.

WV, I am shooting the one set up on the rest, so not the TL1.

QAD and I figured out the problem, the replacement mountingblock they sent me was a Rh model and I have a LH rest.
They are sending me a LH mountingblock right away, free of charge....
You americans are sure nice to deal with....
