Default Hoyt X8 or Pro-elite

Has anyone shot these two bows- curious which one you thought was better - I am leaning towards an X8 but wanted to see some feedback

The Pro-Elite is SWEET. I have not shot the X8 but I have heard it is great as well. For target I would go with the Elite myself. Good luck.

If you are looking for a target bow (3d, spots, field, etc...) then you really can't beat the ProElite. It is hands down the best shooting bow I have ever owned. While it is not as vibration free as one of the cantilevered Bowtechs it simply holds and shoots lights out.

The shoot through riser also gives the bow more stiffness than the non shoot though counterparts. It's hard to describe, but you can really feel it at the shot.

If you have a 28.5" DL or longer, go with the XT3000 limbs. This will bring the ATA to roughly 41" and put the BH just a touch over 8.5".

I really can't recomend it highly enough.

what he said. if you want to shoot indoor dots, you can't beat the elite. a good used protec is a dot killer too. I actually shot my 05 protec better than my 06 proelite.
