Default Tribute or General?

Has anyone had the opportunity to shoot both the Tribute and the General by Bowtech, and if so, what do you say? Which is better?

Ive got to shoot both, just got to shoot the general a few weeks ago and it is very nice. If you looking for speed the tribute wins but for overal smoothness, quietness and shootability the general wins. Both are great bows and I must say Im a little disapointed Bowtech stopped making the tribute, but the general is in my opinion an all around better bow just not as fast. Its still plenty fast though.

I forgot to mention, the tribute I shot had no string suppresor. I did get to shoot one with a meanv css and the general isntany differantat the shot from what I could tell. It still is a little smoother drawing, and has a mcuh longer brace height though.

I would probably opt the for the General in terms of the pure shooting experience. No vibration, no recoil and extremely quiet. I have yet to shoot a bow that could match it in these areas and that includes some of the other current Diamond/Bowtech offerings.

The downsides, compared to its siblings, are that it is about 8-10 fps slower and it weighs a bit more (4.5 pounds). Still, it is very hard to ignore how it shoots. Truly amazing.

I have both the Tribute and the General. I love them both. As everyone mentioned the Tribute is a bit faster. For me it isn't about the speed, but rather how smooth and quiet the bow shoots. The Tribute is plenty quiet and I can shoot it asa lower poundage and maintain a decent amountof K.E. Not the General is by far quieter. The draw feels much like that of a single cam in that when you draw it back it has a nice valley. Something a bit different than the original Binary cams.

So which one goes to the woods with me? Well, BOTH! I mix up equipment and even throw the Guardian in there from time to time. You can't go wrong with either one IMHO. Shoot them all and figure out which one you like better.

BTW, I am getting 271fps from my General shooting a 410 grain 7595 Goldtip at 68lbs. Still plenty fast!
