Default Artic Shield sent control

I was wondering if anyone has tried artic shields sent control. They clan that they have a new sent control system that does not have to be regenerated and will not wash out. The big thing behind all of these clams is “silver” 100% silver thread is woven into the clothing witch destroys odor.

I read this in an online article (which now I cant find) but I found there home page that explains what I did only in better detail. There does not seem to be any carbon added into this clothing.

I am asking what you all think of this new approach to sent control. Here is the link

Silver has been known for a very long time to kill bacteria, and is used in many purification systems. How well it will work in cutting down human oder, I have no idea, but the theory for it is sound.

Yes I have heard of silver being used to kill bacteria since it is used for burn patients as a topical lotion.

I just wonder what if you already had some other sent on you like a house hold chemical smell; I doubt the silver would be able to control that odor. However it does seem that this may be a good approach to preventing human odor, especially on warmer days when perspiration sets in.

In the least I think this may be a good base layer to where underneath the carbon. It would also be a good application for you head, hands and feet as well since 2 out of the 3 are exposed.

Thanks

The antibacterial qualities of silver have been known for well over a century, I've recently seen bandaids at the store that had silver incorporated into their pad for this reason. Colloidal silver(liquid) is simple to make and makes as good a descenting solution as any out there, some commercial products contain it.

Thanks I am thinking about ordering some of the base layer products, which I could afford the warm stuff that Artic makes, I hear that it is really nice stuff to bow hunt in. Nice and warm. I think I am at least going to get some of those boot warmers since my feet always freeze.

The boots come at a cost and not just $$$ cost. If you are not very, very careful, they make a lot of noise. If you 're in your stand, be sure to LIFT and replace your foot...no scooting it or shuffling around. The boots have an anti-slip material on the bottom which is good...and bad.
On top of that, I don't find them to be very warm anyway.
