Yes I have heard of silver being used to kill bacteria since it is used for burn patients as a topical lotion.
I just wonder what if you already had some other sent on you like a house hold chemical smell; I doubt the silver would be able to control that odor. However it does seem that this may be a good approach to preventing human odor, especially on warmer days when perspiration sets in.
In the least I think this may be a good base layer to where underneath the carbon. It would also be a good application for you head, hands and feet as well since 2 out of the 3 are exposed.
