I personaly prefer the G5 striker, all steel, scary sharp and spin tested. If you chose the muzzy I would go with the MX3 the older style IMO are weak. Ive had furrels bend from hitting shoulder blade and the blades will mangle on ribs. Pluse the flight of the striker way out does the older muzzy style.

I don't believe they can be compared, the G5 is lightyears ahead of the Muzzy IMHO, in all aspects.

Muzzy is a proven design that hasbeen doing the jobfor a long time. The Striker seems to be a great broadhead as well, but costs about twice what the muzzy does

Back when muzzy first came out they were top dog but their old design is way outdated and doesnt even come close to some of the new broadheads they have today. I use to shoot muzzy, but there excuse for not coming out with anything new was if they couldnt improve on what they already have they want make anything new. Well sorry muzzy everyone else improved while you sat on the side lines.

I don't know if its fair to characterize Muzzy as yesterday's broadhead. They have recently come out with thicker blades and a shorter design (MX3), as well as the new Phantom for large game. It seems like the main improvements in these newgeneration broadheads, like the Slick Trick, centers around the short length so they fly better out of today's fast bows. The Muzzy heads always seem to take game pretty well - even if they don'tscore quite as well in these torture tests where arrows are being shot into plywood and steel drums.

Having said all that, I'm shooting the G5 Montec

Im not saying they dont make a good head now, it just took them until last year to come out with something new. They used the same design for umteen years without trying to improve on it.

I agree with Jeff K. I used to shoot muzzys but ferrules bent and blades bend super easy. I tried the stryker and oh my god. Its like shooting a surgical instrument. As far as price goes, I shoot accs so I figure why shoot the best arrow made and then put a sub par head on it.
