Default Rage 2-blade expandables or Muzzy 3-blade for hogs

Which shouldI use? Iwas thinking the muzzys would penetrate better on the hogs thick hidebut I'm not sure.

P.S.I know some of you guysreally have it out for the rage broadheads. Sorry to hear it but, I already have them andi know i'm going to use them for deerso unless your here to tell me if they can kill a hog better then a muzzy DONT REPLY. I've heard the pro's and cons already i dont needto hear them again. Thank you for your concern though.

I have used the Rage 2 blade with great success on deer, but I don't know about them for tough stuff like hogs. Some of my buddies went on a hog hunt with their .243's a few years back and, even using tough bullets like Nosler Partitions and Barnes X, had trouble with penetration. The Muzzy should work fine. Even better would be G5 Montec.

Before the anti-Rage cavalry get here, I'll chime in. Lot's of people will bash the Rage but most have never even used one. I don't think you could go wrong with either. If you all ready have one or the other, just use what you have. Don't go out and buy something new.

I agree the rages will be fine, I would love to see some pics of a hog that got stuck with a rage 2 blade! But just like any other head out there shot placement is the key! Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I've never used one but I've heard some issues on penetration which could be due to the set up of the bow or the style of the Rage or a little of both. Either way I would use the Muzzys on hogs. Its proven itself on hogs time and time again. I would go with a COC style type Muzzy or any other durable COC broadhead.

Hope that helped you out some!!
