In the 2007 catalog, it lists the platform size for the Deer Deck at 24 x 36, while the Lite aluminum version is listed at 20 x 36.

You're welcome! In the past I would do a few of these type of things with the products that I used and believed in and thought this was definitely one that warranted a closer look.
I have to get one together for the Copperhead as well......it's also a departure from the standard style hang on, and a heck of a slick and comfortable stand.

Great review.

I agree with Greg/Mo, real reviews are what make the site.
One day, I may attempt it. [8D]

I own Summit climbers, but haven't gotten any lock-ons. I don't see any reason to get the light
model. The difference in weight would seem to make more difference with a climber than a lock-on.
I would want the added stability, less noise and larger steel platform.

Don't want to hijack thread, but I just bought a GameTamers Quad-Pod, and am excited
about putting it up this weekend. Saw it at a show and had to have it.
