I'm not a good enough shooter to tell the difference between aluminum and carbon straightness. BUT my pocketbook notices that I haven't been spending as much to buy carbon arrows as I used to in aluminum. It's about not beingbent, creased, broken, etc.

I shoot gold tip expedition 3555 they are to a plus or - 2 gr and have a straightness of plus or - 0.006. expensive but have lasted me a lot longer than my old 78s. been 3 yrs and havent broke one yet. be sure to paper tune that will tell you if you need a heavier or lighter spine. there is a article on this sight about the paper shooting be sure if your a lefty like me to read the bottom or the article, im bass ackwards!
