Mildot... I have the Whitetails. Don't get me wrong, my dealer loves Carbon Tech's and was only indicating that if you took a Gold Tip and a Carbon Tech and started shooting them into progressively harder targets(trees etc) that the carbon tech wouldsplit before the GT. But that's one man's opinion.

I certainly don't want to ruffle anybody's feathers. We had this discussion about a year ago with one of our esteemed techies whose opinion I highly respect. Herewas my experience.
I ordered a dozen of the CT Whitetail 65/80. I can't speak for the spine issue because I have no way of verifying their tolerances by way of measurement. Weight wise they fell into the advertised tolerance. They all spun true. That was the good news.....
After shooting them for a while I found them to be the most frail carbon arrow I have ever shot. I bounced one off of a foam target into the dirt (no rocks) and it split the end. I was surprised but thought maybe it was a fluke until I split two more in the same spot on what I would consider a soft ricochet by any other carbon arrow standards. I have no bias against them, that is just what my experience has been. Since I posted my experience with them even the above respected techy agreed they were frail by comparison to some other carbons.....

its a great flying arrow, but i would never, ever shoot at an animal with one. i've had the whitetails and rhinos, and even a good slap from another arrow can take a chip out of either one. its always fun to post the latest and greatest when you try something new, but its usually a good idea to use them for a while before talking other folks into buying them.when you robinhood your first one you won't believe how far the 2nd shaft will go into the first. i can't imagine what a bone hit would do to one. i bought them because of the person antler eater mentioned, and he was right about his techy info, but he hadn't field tested them yet.

Accuracy was my only concern with these arrows. I don't need to field test them and I have no doubts about how they will hold up. It's hard to doubt how they will hold up after I have seen 3 folders full of pictures of dead large game, all shot and killed with Carbon Tech Arrows. These folders are on the counter of my local bow shop and these are the arrows he reccommends to every person who walks in the door. All animals in these folders aredead as can be, with bow and arrows right next to all the pictures. How can you argue with that?
Gibblet, maybe you should be more concerned about accuracy, then you wouldn't have to worry about how well a carbon arrow holds up after you miss your shot and hit a rock.Brittle arrows give me a break.
