Crossbow strings.
I'm looking for somone or some company that makes and/or sells crossbow strings. I bought a cheap crossbow from The Sportsman Guide and I need replacement strings. I needsome simple 30" 180lb crossbow strings. Feel free to e-mail me with any info on this matter. Your help is greatly appreciated.

You and I probably have the same bow , mine is an Eagle-I . You'll either have to contact the manufacturer , obtain a replacement string from SG the next time they offer them , or go to a proshop that sells crossbow strings . Bring the old string with you if you try a proshop so that they can match the length and draw weight .

RE: Crossbow strings.
Yes it's the same x-bow. I called SG customer service and they said the x-bow came from Master Cutlery. I found their web site and sent 2 e-mails asking for the replacement strings. So far no reply.
I contacted a couple of local archery shops including the Gander Moutain here where I live. The problem is that this is the 1st year that Virginia legelized hunting with a x-bow. Add to the fact that the didn't decide to pass it until May or June. So the locals are behind and just don't have the equipment to make x-bow strings . They tell me you need a different machine for a x-bow stringthan you do for compound, recurve or long bow.
