Default Cobra Sidewinder LX

Are the Cobra Sidewinder LX sights any good? I am looking for a new sight, and am thinking abuot the Cobra. It looks like it is really sturdy, and well built. I don't want a Trophy Ridge because of the plastic sight housing. [:'(] That just seems like a poor quaility of their sights. Any feed back on the Cobra Sidewinder LX would be greatly appreciated.

I've read a number of posts from folks that really like the Cobra sights. I've never owned one, but may next time around. I really like how bright the pins are on those sights.

I've just recently started shooting this sight and I love it. Easy to adjust, built nice and solid, and exteremly bright to boot. So far I really couldn't ask for anything else out of a sight.

The only thing I would do differently if I could go back is get the micro-adjustable sight. There is nothing worse than just trying to tweak that little bit and you slip and move the whole thing 1/4 inch.

My buddy has one and liked it until the fiberoptics started snapping off. They are a bit flimsy.

I have the standard Cobra Sidewinder on my hunting bow and I must say that I am very pleased with its adjustability, ruggedness and bright fiber optic pins. I definitely plan on hunting with it this season.

Personally I would choose the 3 pin over the LX. Two more pins just clutter up the sight picture. If you need more than three you have a really slow bow. I agree with you 100% on the machined aluminum vs plastic. It costs virtually nothing to mold a piece of plastic, but the price doesn't come down proportionately.

No complaints about my Sidewinder have used it for over a few months whith heavy practice. Very bright pins, with all metal construction.
