Personally I would choose the 3 pin over the LX. Two more pins just clutter up the sight picture. If you need more than three you have a really slow bow. I agree with you 100% on the machined aluminum vs plastic. It costs virtually nothing to mold a piece of plastic, but the price doesn't come down proportionately.
