Late post went out friday with my girlfriend shot 42 between the 2 of us. Then monday got a sudden cold so i couldnt make it to workwent back out and shot only 49 between 4 of us but still fun. But I have a question for anyone my girlfriend shoots around 30 lbs and had over 50 percent of here fish pulling out. She was using the cheap 5 dollar eagle fish arrows. But they were sinking just under the barbs. Should I have her try the retractable flipping barbs. I noticed with those that the barbs are set back a good 2 inches from the tip and am wondering if that will be to far and never make it to the barbs. Any help is much apprieciated.

30# should be fine if the fish aren't too deep. A muzzy point with a good sharp tip would be my best advice. The stingeree type tip has to have soooo much more penetration to get the barbs to open.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.

The water is shallow most is less then a foot deepest being about 3 ft. My wonder with the muzzy haveing the thicker barbs wont that cause more friction when trying to penetrate? Or will the chisel point help that much I mean I shoot muzzy but I have a 55 lb bow. I figured the bigger barb would be more friction. Are their any more tips that are the flip open style that have a real short penetration needed to open them thanks
