Where is this wonder lake shoot?
It's a nicedaytime shoot on a calm, shallow lake.
Good prizes andfood.
Duane and his partners do a great job on this one every year.

Exclusive 2007 Sportsmans Club & Conservation Club Event
Carp Shoot, June 2nd & August 11th
6:00 AM - 12 Noon
This is a BAA Sanctioned Event & Fish Disposal Provided


Fees
Kids 15 & under are Free,1 Man $20, 2 Man, $40, 3 Man $60 (Per Team)

Registration
Begins at 4:30 AM day of the shoot, and will run until 8 AM.


Location
South Beach of Wonder Lake IL. The event this year is not at Center Beach where we have held it in years past. We will be at a similar venue 2/3 Mile south of Center Beach on East Lakeshore Dr. Beach is located between Pheasant Rd. and Beach Rd. which is easiest to access by turning onto them from East Wonder Lake Road, rather then traveling down East Lakeshore Drive from Center Beach which tends to be narrow in some areas. We will have Navigation signs posted at the corners of the main intersections to assist you. Internet Mapping Directions



Rules
• Boats are required for Non-Wonder Lake Residents as there is no Shore Access available, Guest Pass for Lake provided at time of Registration
• Compete for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place BAA Certificates & a Cash Prize (for First Place only) for the MOST Fish brought in.
Kids 15 & under will compete for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place Trophies for the MOST fish Brought In.
• Optional Buy-In Competition for Big Fish. $5 Entry Fee for Individual Bracket, $10 Entry Fee for 2 Man Teams, and $15 Entry Fee for 3 Man Teams, BAA Certificates & Cash Prize for 1st Place only
• Hot Dogs, Soda & Water will be available throughout the event.
We’ll continue to cook afterwards so we all can enjoy good food and good company. Come on out and experience a great time with us!!!!!
• The Awards Ceremony for All Three Brackets will Begin at 12:30 PM at Center Beach
• Throughout the Event, there will be available for Purchase, Raffle Tickets for Door Prizes and a 50/50. The Raffles will be held after the awards Ceremony. All proceeds from this event go towards the conservation of Wonder Lake.

I might have to see about getting some people togather and giving it a shot sounds like fun. Is the shooting easy or a little difficult?/hard to find/is the lake clear?

The water is not clear, but at that time of year we should see a fair amount of tails and fins sticking up. There are several large mudflats that are barely deep enough for a troller. Lots of carp in there. Even seen them out in the deeper water surfacing in schools.

Bring down everybody that shoots, and even a new guy if you want.
I have an extra bow somebody can use. Let me know so I don't promise it to anyone else. There will be at least 2 other Wisconsin shooters there from the Racine area too.

Oh, and as you probably read, everybody needs to be in a boat since the shore is all privately owned.
