Anyone have experience with New Frontier Beartooth?
Seen this ML on Cabelas website for a really good price, looks good. I did find out it is made by CVA.
Anyone know anything else about them?
Thanks

they shoot very good. i have not found the right load with sabots yet. but mine will touch some holes at 80 yards with a patch and ball. using 90 grains of goex with a 2-7 scope. i am very happy with it. easy to hold and shoot. super fast to clean. i don't think you could go wrong for the price. i have quite a few m/ls and it will shoot with the best of them. i was quite surprized.

I've read some real good things about them and their accuracy. I think they are nothing more then a stripped down CVA Optima with perhaps a shorter barrel (I am not sure). And yes they have the BPI barrels. If that does not bother you, then that should not be a concern. Load it within reason and I am sure you should not have problems.
I have not read too many reports on the owners shooting powerbelts. I would think with a BPI barrel they should be a good powerbelt shooter, but again this is only information taken from reading other people's posts. I have no personal experience with the rifle.

Oldguy I have a new frontier magnum, and it came from Cabelas.
I will have to agree with some of the other posts, as it sure looks
like the optima. One thing that I was really suprised by is the
rifling, very pronounced. I was told this was because of the process
used to make the barells. Mine is a 45cal came with pineridge
scope. I have shot mine with 2=50gr pyrodex pellets and the 195gr
powerbelt aero-tip bullet extremely flat shooting and acurate. I have
also loaded 2-50gr 777 pellets with the 225 powerbelt aero-tip
and it will shoot those just great also. Very easy to load; very easy
to shoot; very easy to clean; very easy on the wallet!
So I guess I like mine but there has been a lot of bad press about
the barells, but I still like mine.
