For Cayugad
Did you read about the Green Mountain Barrels recall in the CVA FORUM?
It's on Side and Flint rifles with Ser.#'s 26220-27303.
I have a CVA Eclipse .50cal and they had a RECALL a couple of years ago.
They sent me a New barrel, but got confused and sent me another....Thanks CVA!!

RE: For Cayugad
Yes I did. That recall has been out for some time now. In fact my .58 caliber 1:70 twist barrel had to be sent back. They replaced the bolster area and had it back to me in about 2 weeks.
It seems when they re-tooled their line they were putting a rounded thread in the nipple area. Before they had a sharp cut thread which was better to hold the nipple from blowing out under extreme pressure. I personally never had any problems with the nipple.
My .62 smoothbore did not fall into that area. My other was a much older barrel and never was even near the recall numbers....
You still get the same barrel back. And it is still the best sidelock shooting barrel I have. My .58 caliber with 100 grains of Goex 2f and a patched roundball is a real accurate rifle...
