I bought the used Thumbhole Omega for $360 cash w/ 4x swift scope. Thanks for the advice to all. It has a beautiful gray /green laminate stock. It feels great. I have only shot it a couple of times, wind chill here is about zero. I have four muzzleloaders and different bullets. Ihave not had a lot of experience working loads and what is more important powdr grains or bullet type. Anyone got a good load? I just got some 175gr and 195 gr dead center duplex.
I also have the following;
220gr dead center
240gr xtp
250 gr shockwave
245 gr power belt
295 gr power belt
350 gr Maxi Hunter .50 cal conical
I will probable use the dead centers to hunt with but they are costly to shoot and I want to shoot a lot more.
Also what's your opinion on the Swift scope? 4X is probable good for hunting but should I use a higher power to work up a load and test accuracy?
I usually start with 80 gr and max of 100gr of powder.
I will be hunting whitetails with a 150-200 yard max depending on how the gun shoots
