I've not noticed any barrel leading with the No Excuses with my Knight - although the use of lubed wads with them might be a factor in that.
Now the 1 time I shot maybe a dozen or so 385gr Hornady Great Plains conicals I DID pull out what I thought was a significant amount of lead shavings with my bronze brush - which kinda shocked me, since they were NOT a tight fit at all. I shot those with & without the lubed wads, but since those bullets are hollow based (and the wads made no difference in accuracy), I assume the wads didn't do a thing to help push out the fouling.
Another trick to get out lead is to wrap a few strands of a copper scrubbing pad (Like Chore Boy at Wally World) around your bronze brush and work it thru the bore a few times. This method works wonders when cleaning my centerfire revolvers after a long day at the range.
