.45 knight wolverine
Just wondering what type (sabot, ball, ect?)and what size of projectile, and what amount and kind of powder you would recomend for whitetail? There seems to be so many different kinds of powders whats the difference between them all?
Also I just read a post on here saying that many blackpowder rifles fowl scopes, will this gun do that?

RE: .45 knight wolverine
Yes, your Wolverine will fowl a scope. You can protect the scope with a scope cover or by putting electrical tape around the scope. The electrical tape is easy to wipe off. All muzzleloaders for the most part will fowl scopes and other things with their blow back from the breech.
As for what projectile a .45 caliber will shoot.. I am sorry I can not help you there. All I can tell you is my Wolverine likes around 85 grains of FFFg powder and medium to heavy weight bullet sabot combination... Try any of the Knight Sabot bullet combinations.. they tend to shoot real well from Knight rifles as do Barnes Expanders. All of them will kill a whitetail and some surprising ranges also, if you can place your shot...
Good luck with your rifle..
