RE: 1st Shockwave experience sucked!!!
FYI - I received the replacement Sabot's for the Shockwave/SST's from T/C last night.
Excellent service considering the holiday season and I just spoke with their service team six days ago regarding the difficulty of loading the Shockwave/SST's that I had purchased!!!
Once again, another fine example of Thompson Center's committment to customer service.
I'll try to load the Shockwave/SST projectiles either tonight or tomorrow and post a followup.
Best,

RE: 1st Shockwave experience sucked!!!
Those are your replacement sabots... likely old stock before T/C changed sabot manufacturers from MMP to Hornady. It obvious T/C has still some left-over 50-pk sabots. They will not bust these open to put on their assembly line of sabot/bullets where the thicker Hornady sabots are being used. But you can bet that once the old MMP 50-pks are gone, all new 50-pks will have thicker Hornady sabots. If you plan on staying with T/C Shockwave, you should call T/C Inc back on the phone & buy more (or) speak to Del Ramsey of MMPsabots.com. He will sell you the thinner HPH-24 MMP plastic sabots in 50-pks too. You can also buy the thinner Harvester Sabots.... sold at many top hunting stores. At one time, Nosler 45/50 50-pk sabots were thin.... but not anymore according to a poster who received some yesterday.
