I have a 50cal. stainless Omega and love it. this rifle shots 1.5" groups at 100yds. Try cleaning after each shot and if that won't work. Call T/C and tell them your problem they will make it right.

I can almost guarantee you that you can find an accurate load for your Omega. Just have to work at the range until you find it. Loose powder is best because you can taylor your load to the bullet/gun combo. I couldn't get my Omega to shoot straight because I was using 100-120 gr of 777. However, when I dropped to 90 gr. (which is equivalent to about 105 gr pyrodex) the groups tightened up. This combo is plenty of power up to elk sized animals.
I find it hard to believe you can get tight groups out to 100 yards and then they start flying on you. The physics of that doesn't compute. If they are accurate out out 100, they should contiue to fly just as accurately beyond. Have you tried a gun vise to eliminate shooter error?
If you are having trouble with sabots, try powerbelts or other conicals such as Buffalo bullets or ones made by Precision bullets. As I said, after shooting a couple of times and only getting 3" groups at 25 yards with 777 and 348 powerbelts, I was about ready to send the gun back. However, I then dropped to 85 grains and fired 3 shot groups, then upped the charge by 5 grains and repeated at 90, 95, 100, 105 and 110 gr. At 90 grains my shots were now touching at 25 yards and are 3" at 100 yards with open sights.
It is also possible that pyrodex might be more accurate in your gun. Also, one of the probems I was having early was that 777 settles more than pyrodex. I was tapping the measure once filled with powder. If you keep tapping it, it will keep settling. I was tapping it sometimes 3 times and sometimes 6-8 times. I think I was changing the load amount by tapping it differently every time. When I started tapping it only once after filling the measure, my groups tightened up too. Pellets should be more consistent, but you have to use only the combos that the pellets allow. My brother's gun shoots best at 95 gr.
I also think mine shoots most accurately when I run a spit patch followed by a couple of dry patches down between EACH shot.
Good luck

I'am buddy.......I love my Omega, just haven't played around at distances greater that 100yds...However the only thing that i do not like is the loading...you get the bullet all the way down to the last 1/2in and it is almost impossible to get the rest of the way. Dr Kill didn't seem to be too worried when he slammed 4 opening morning.

I have great luck with pellets and a TC xtp/sabot but technically you should get better accuracy with loose powder.
