I just bought a Omega X7 and want to put a Nikon Omega sope on it. The scope was designed for the Omega with a 28" barrel and 150 gr. of powder and a shockwave bullet. My Omega X7 only has a 24" barrel, do you think the compensating reticle on the scope will work with the 24" barrle?
Thanks,
Shayn

As long as you shoot 150 grains of powder it shouldn't make that big of a difference. However make sure you shoot before the season and make sure it is still on with the scope. Hate to see a few feet per second make a bad shot. Good Luck

Only range time will tell you if that scope will be true to the rifle. It should be very close. The problem is, not all rifles like 150 grain loads and still have the kind of accuracy you will need out to 200 yards. So work your load carefully. Then you will have to shoot at the different distances and see just how close everything is. I watched a person on a hunting show last night shooting an Omega and that scope and he was explaiining how the scope BDC worked. He was shooting out to 150 yards and swinging a target with ease.
