Have a TC Grey Hawk 50 cal. Would like to try it on turkey but have never shot it with shot in it. In fact, I know nothing about it or where to start - load, shot size, etc... Anyone out here try this or know anything about it? Thanks.

my advice would be get your slef a B/P shot gun and leave th 50 cal. for the deer.
I have a double 12 ga. B/P shot gun.I use 100 grains of powder and 1 1/2oz. of #6 shot.
You will have to work up a load for your gun.my load may not work for you.

Shooting shot out of a rifled barrel is not a good idea. First off they will not produce an even constant pattern. Second it could actually cause damage to your rifling. What you need is a black powder shotgun. If you do not need to go the traditional apperance, then Knight makes a real nice shotgun in line. CVA has a trapper and I think a turkey model which you might want to look at. I would get a 12 gauge because you can always load them down for hunting anything other then turkey, but if you get the smaller gauge it is not always possible to load them up....
