RE: Not so fast - T/C fumbles, sent defective barrel
No Rich,

A delayed start due to rain-- the birds are in the trunk, free to you if you pay postage. 27 birds out of one angle-ditch alone, the pheasants are doing well.

Everybody gets frustrated when it " happens to them" - - - understandably.

Unless I read this wrong, a new barreled action overnighted to the customer is the answer, and T/C should also eat the $9 postage to send the detriggered action back.

I believe they will, and that seems " the fix."

Randy,

I detect a distinct “blame the victim” slant to your rant. I could respond point for point, but that serves no one. I’d like to believe you mean well, but your diatribe is not constructive. I’d also like to believe that T/C is a reputable company and that they stand behind their product. And I certainly hope the Omega eventually lives up to its reputation; I want it to.

As for the broken trigger replacement barrel…I spoke with the repair shop supervisor earlier today about the situation. It’s headed back to T/C in the same box it came in. All I can do now is cross my fingers and wait for another replacement barrel.

I’ll report in when barrel number 3 arrives in pristine condition.

It' s not heart surgery, no one died, and it can be resolved.

What was the " constructive purpose" of your posting in the first place?

Gettin preety heated up in here over this smoke pole trigger.

bugs11,
Sounds like your the 1 in thousands of TC buyers/owners who got a bit of a raw deal from the outset. If you poled all the smoke pole owners on this MB,you' d probably find TC ranks among top 3 guns. I own a TC,Knight,CVA. All have been excellant guns with very few problems. Had a problem with my TC 3-4 years ago (my fault).

I got on the phone with TC. Four days later I had all the parts at my door step at no cost..

I gotta agree with Randy. Your gettin heart palpatations over a trigger assy and packaging. Call TC- get the gun fixed and move on - Go Hunting

Good Luck - AL

AJ,

Yeah I agree; it seems I’ve hit the jackpot. But all the T/C testimonials give me great hope that barrel # 3 will arrive in pristine condition. As for the fix I’ve called T/C, all I can do now is wait.

How did you know I have a history of heart disease?

What I’d really like to do is sight in that Omega before opening day.
