Maybe its time for the ADMINISTRATOR to split this into sub-forums, say INLINES and TRADITIONAL?
Muley doesn't own and won't own another in-line, he stated that. MD seems to like the percussion rifles, so they can watch over the Traditional forum, so the other members and guests can pick rather they'd like following one or the other.
Now I truly have no dog in this fight, as I only shoot an Ultimate now but, I am familiar with the different rifles. However, if we could ever get past the badgering (polite word), guys stating "my rifle will out shoot that rifle", maybe we could ALL get to where the final individual testing is complete. A single comparison and someone wants to call a test that isn't even completed, "biased"???
Man......... there are hundreds of people search the different forums and the last thing that anyone wants to see, is a p'ing match between members. A little badgering once in awhile doesn't hurt, but when it gets to be a HABIT, something needs to change. On a personal note, I have a problem with someone throwing out a shooting challenge, then when someone agrees to it, finds another excuse. That's about as low as it can get IMO.
Let the "personal individual" test be completed, let the write up get posted, then if there's a question, ask it. If your opinion differs, explain the reason why it differs but, wait until the final report gets complete.

hey I am all for just getting over this thread and having grouse get back to the reviews. When you insult someone or bring someone into the "argument" ( I havent seen the argument start yet lol) what do you expect someone to do? Sit there and just read it as it unfolds lol.

I'm going to start a new thread later but like to post things as I find them. The T/C strike isn't fitting a Leupold rifle scope to well. Looks like an Omega will need to go on this. I might try the revenge to see if it's any better. Lots of things to complain about on all three of these guns right now. I've tore them all apart and put back together twice.

Why would you need a scope with any more eye relief than normal for a ML gun? There's no hammer for the scope to be in the way of. Might be slightly difficult to operate the lever to break the action open if you have big thumbs like me but not overly difficult. Have you even looked at one? They are on the heavy side so it wouldn't be a recoil issue. Just wondering why you would think that.

The scope sits to far ahead on the receiver and you can not pull it back far enough to get normal eye relief. The turtents run into the rings is a problem. If you could install a scope rail on the receiver then you could get the correct eye relief. With the Omega and the 4" relief it could work...

Omega's have a 5 inch eye relief, or at least mine does, so that would solve that problem. Reversing those extended rings would do it as well. Or a Pic rail. Lots of solves for that particular problem. I personally just don't like the looks of those Strikes. Ugly as sin. And that forearm looks more suited for a bench gun than something for offhand field use. But that's just my opinion.
