I am thinking about getting into Blackpowder. I have decided on a Kawken Rifle . Who makes the Cabelas Hawkin. Looking at the pictures on there websites the Cabelas looks to be quiet a bit better quality than the CVA or the Traditions Hawkens.
Thanks,
Robert

Yes, I have the Cabela' s Hawken flintlock. The quality is comparable to the T/C Hawken with it' s walnut stock and nice fit and finish of wood to metal. The barrel has five lands and grooves and is a deep .010 vs. the shallow .005 of the others, so it tolerates more fouling. It is made by Investarms of Italy, the maker of Lyman' s blackpowder rifles. This is the most accurate mass produced flintlock to date I have ever owned and I been a flinter for about 20 years. I' m more than pleased with it.
