yea they are straight up and straight down. I go and see the elk every year up there. Its very cool seeing those big bulls roam through the town. hopefully you'll have good luck with drawing a tag in the years to come. Is it your choice of weapon (bow, centerfire, ML) if you draw a tag?

Weapon choice is going to be a struggle. Depends on where I guess. Archery is my passion followed by MLing. Its been years since I carried a CF rifle in the woods. And then its usually something old like a .45-70 or 405 win. But sometimes I like to carry a 'newer' cartridge like the 30-06!!!

I'm back and wiped out. I saw a dozen does, 1 buck, and a small herd or cow elk. Plus, I heard some bulls bugling, but couldn't get close enough to them for a picture.
