Got all my hunting gear, including the wolf, loaded into the back pack, loaded up the pack with water and took a nice hike up into an area just at the end of the valley by home. Its some nasty stuff and i walked the side of the mountain to get a work out. Fatty here went with me as well. Hes dropping some pounds by being on a diet and he doesnt like it one bit. Just a couple pictures. To thick to really take pictures of anything. Scouted for deer drops but nuttin! Found some old bones and then ran across a steep deer trail with a trees rubbed down to the point they were dead. There is something up there!

That's some pretty thick stuff ther MD. Not like the park Muley was walking in. But both beautiful in their own way.
I just got back from my walk. Really noticing the difference. I cover the measured 2 miles in just under 31 mins. I was able to jog for 1/4 mile of the 2 miles. My calculations show that my average speed was 3.9 mph. At this rate I should be able to jog at least 1/2 the distance by the end of Sept. Or increase the distance walked or both. Also, I got on the scale this morning and I dropped a total of 5 lbs. Would like to lose 20 more at least. Thirty would even be better. |
Semi, that's why you wimpy southern boys plant food plots. You're too soft to enter the woods. So what if everything in there will stick, scratch, bite, or eat you!

No reason to complain about where you live. It's your choice. :p

Ain't complaining y'all. I've lived other places, but had to return to the New Orleans area to replenish the mud between my toes. Salt marsh, bayous, cypress swamps, and pine woods are in my blood.
As for wimpy Bronko. Come on down and let me take you for a hunt in the Honey Island Swamp. I'll show ya' wimpy. Bring along some riding gear and a 12 Gauge and we'll saddle up a big ol' hog and wingshoot some skeeters. :s2: |
that was actually the cleaner part LOL. We had to go down the mountain towards the end due to all the thick oak brush and boulders. Its a pretty steep hike. Felt good though, may take a drive to the wildlife center tomorrow for some longer hikes.

Great to hear you're getting in shape, OP. I've been trying to shuck off my beer belly for the past few months, and I've pretty much succeeded. I used the method in "The Truth About Six Pack Abs," a program designed to help you burn belly fat as efficiently as possible. I've written a review of the program here.
