Deep Curl defeats XTP Mag Update with Pic

With more practice I'm not going to hesitate to shoot an antelope or deer out at 300 yards if the conditions are right with the Deep Curl

The more I shoot the more confident I become taking a 250 yard shot on paper. But would a 250 grain bullet penetrate the vitals of a deer at that range.
The deer I shot last year was around 204 yards (ranged from spot in the spring that we thought was 197 in winter). The barns 250g did not pass through. However, it did strike the heart and maybe that's why no pass-through.

Depends on what you shoot how accurate it is and what you load.
wit a 250 gr bonded Shock Wave load in front of a Blackhorn load of 135 gr i get 2300fps a point black range of a bit over 200 yds and just out of curiosity I figured what the 250 yd numbers are.
250 yds = 1394 FPS and 1078 foot pounds energy I don't have any trouble hitting gongs and Knockdowns at 250 but there is no place I hunt where I expect to get a shoot at 200 around here. I take most of my deer at 25 to 50 yds, about the same for boar.
