I got a nice crisp $20 in my wallet.

On a serious note push your bullet/sabot through before you JB the bore. After you are done JB'ing push another one through, I think you will want to keep it.

When I got it, I thought I cleaned it very good with Birchwood Casey Bore Scrubber but maybe I missed something.
If this doesn't work, is anyone in the market for an Omega, real CHEAP?
Thanks to all that responded.
Do not sell it,keep shooting. It will get better. The bore paste will speed up the process.Try MMP 3petal EZ sabots.I use them to load a 2nd shot without swabbing, and I shoot 777.Mine was very tight when new also.

Then you may have to do a treatment of JB's bore paste. I had to do 100 strokes in mine before I could load the sabots well. The lands and grooves are not polished well when they come from TC.

Lastly the more you shoot it and get it broke in it will loosen some.
sabotloader,
We have am Omega which is a great shooter, but a bear to load, even with crush ribs. Do you do your 100 strokes with JB from the breech or the muzzle? If from the breech, how do you protect the threads? If from the muzzle, how do you protect the rifling between the barrel and the QLR?

I do run the strokes from the muzzle. My routine is to oil a patch with a high quality bore oil. Push a quanity of JB's on one side of the patch and then run that side in the bore for 25 strokes. After those 25 strokes pull the patch flip it and run it again for 25 strokes. Repeat the process four time. Make sure your strokes go from the top to the bottom of the bore.

Running the strokes from the muzzle I use a good range rod and a muzzle protector. As for the the internal crown on the QLA remember that JB's is not a cutting compund it is a polish - you are not putting the QLA in harms way.

Leave the breechplug in the gun or the patch will get hung up on the threads. When your done just clean the JB off the plug.

JB does not cut it just polishes, once you get to about 200 strokes it won't do any more but there are several different regular polishing compound that do cut and you have to be very careful with them. If you get to the point where you feel you have to use them PM me and I will tell you what to get and how to use it.

I still need to do this on my Impact - I don't have a range rod or muzzle protector, but I would hate to do this process with the rod that came with the gun! Any recommendations on where to look for a range rod / protector? I see a CVA universal rod on the basspro site for $16, cut to fit, and was thinking about attaching a spin jag on the end of it - but glad to hear if there are other options too!
