I think all Omegas have the ranging reticle, right? With open circles as aiming points? If my understanding of this is correct I have never been a fan of a reticle that does not provide a precise aiming point (crossed lines, mil-dots are ok).
I own a Buckmaster, 3X9 SF it is on my CZ453 .22lr. They are a GREAT scope for the money.

RE: buckmaster or omega
I just mounted my omega on my TC triumph. My Omega has the Nikoplex. I was wanting the BDC but couldn't pass up the deal I got from Natchez SS. Plus, I can see what powder/bullet load my guns likes best. I'd go with an Omega over a Buckmaster. I don't know this to be fact, but I believe the Omega has better glass---DrASUS

It it's got nikoplex, it's going to come down to preference. I think you'd be hard pressed to tell a difference in the glass -- they are both nikon and relatively close in price. There is certainly no problem with the glass in the Buckmaster.

RE: buckmaster or omega
I have tried most of them and found that the Omega gives me the most precise aiming points when paired with a good laser range finder. Instead of just one line the circle gives you the cross at the top and bottom of the circle and the center like a peep. I guess it is all in what you like and are trying to accomplish. Lee
