Its really weird I had the same problem with 777 and my Omega and bought a Triumph when they first came out and after 10 pounds of 777 and 7 pounds of BH209 its still doing fine with the same breach plug. Lee

Lee,
I've been thinking about upgrading to a Triumph, but my concern was the same old breech plug issues.
Your experiences are helpful.
What primers have you been using?
Do you think the breech plug design of the Triumph solved the problem?

Do not know how this might fit in the conversation but I guessI would like to add that i have had my Omega since 2003 and I can not even imagine how much T7 has been shot from it and I am still on the original Breech Plug - in fact it started out as a 209 for the first couple of years and then I converted it to a 25ACP, by drilling it out. I do have 3 others, BP's, that I have purchased over the years - but have not used yet.

Well, I can only tell what happened to me, The first breach plug had about 250 shots with 110 gr 777 FF and several different weights of bullets, when it quit grouping and I looked the gun over for the problem the touch hole looked enormous compared to my brand new back up plug. The same thing happened again in about 200 shots, after that it seemed like either I got a hold of a lot better plug or ??? anyhow I have been shooting it with BH209 and it still has that 3'rd plug in it which has more shots on it than the first two twice over. There is no point in trying to explain something I don't understand myself, but I will say that while I think the Triumph is just a super Omega I also believe it is just that. I would not trade my Triumph for half dozen Omega's I am waiting for TC to come out with a Triumph that has a stainless barrel and a laminated wood stock in a thumb hole design then I will sell the Omega and the Knight and maybe a couple others and have two Triumph's.
