Bought TC Mag Express sabots with 240 grain Hornady XTP bullets at Walmart tonight.Had no plans to buy them but at 11.99 for a box of 30 I bought 2 boxes of them.I figure that 23.98 for 60 rounds is a good buy and in this case even cheaper than Cabelas which I like very much. Was just looking as I had oil changed in my Bronco II and saw they only had 2 boxes left so I jumped on them. Now all I need is a container of T777 and some cooler Weather. sounds like a good deal until blast all 60 in 3 to 4 range trips. trust me I know, went thou 4 packs in a month. if you plan to buy package sabots/bullets. also pick up some sure fires for plinking. there are also cheap shots. you may have to look around for those. they shot the same as the xtps but they are all lead. also for plinking.
what part of va are you from?

That sounds like a heck of a deal. I buy the XTP's in bulk. I think last time I paid $16.00+ for a box of 100 and then $11.00+ for a hundred bulk sabots. So you got a real good deal.
I am currently running low on Hawverster sabots but I just got a supply of the MMP in so I am good there. I want to get some of the low sabots and some more crushed rib as my Knights really like them..

You can always get a bullet mold and a hand sizer from Lee molds with bulk sabots of harvestor brand from Midsouth. Use wheel weights for plinking and pure lead for hunting and the cost can be cut to a fraction of these fancy bullets. I used to use these and they ddid the job and were quite accurate the only real draw back is they did not seem to shoot well over a hundred gr of RS, I have not tried them with 777 or BH. Lee
