Other then the price, I really see no draw back at all to this powder. But when I can shoot off a 10 ouncejug of it in two days, it kind of makes you think.

Price is the only downfall I can see of it. I love the stuff! I don't shoot near as much as you do Dave or IMAYBE would have to reconsider it... But I don't right now soI have no problem w/the price. I canbuy it at Sportsman's here for under $30 w/tax so I can't really complain.

Iknow what you mean about the plug backing out. That's mypet peeve of inlines.A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine and I put about 50 shots through my Genesis and when I got home, it was as if I had never shot it. Also, I never swabbed the first time w/it and I was stillshooting tight groups when I left. I can get used to that.

Obviously some of my MLs won't shoot it but the ones that will I can guarantee that's what'll be shot out of them.

That was some dandy shootin' too Dave.

Hey Cayugad, why don't `ya go back out with that gun and shoot the same bullets with 100 grains T7. Yeah, I know - `ya gotta swab. But it sure would be an interesting comparison.
I did that and I found that if you scrub the gun absolutely clean and fire a 209 and wipe the barrel clean again in between every shot that 777 will shoot just as good as BH209. So I just sold 8 and a half cans of 777 for half price to get rid of it. Lee

Knowing my rifle, I have little doubt that with T-7 it will shoot as well as it does with the BH209. But a good reason to shoot is never over looked. Still, this is a powder that is at least worth a try if you have a rifle that will shoot it. Very good power, clean to shoot, no swabbing, and breech plugs come right out. Other then the cost, I see no draw back. Although, the local sporting good store charges $28.00 for a pound of T-7 now, so this is not all that out of line..

Price is the only thing that keeps me from buying a custom Ballardclassic light hunter.
