Default blackhorn 209

Any idea what my velocity would be with a 300 grain barnes expander pushed by 90 grains of blckhorn 209. Would I get the same velocity with 90 grains of pyrodex. Finally what would my bullet drop be at 75yds 125yds and 150yds if I'm dead on at 100yds.

1687 = 80 1892 = 100 grains of Black Horn with a Barnes 300 grain Expander. So if you can find the BC of an expander, you can run it through a ballistic calculator with the kind of sight in distances, etc you want.

Dropping 1800 fps, .207 for BC, 300g bullet, 100y zero (leave rest default)into this:

http://www.sav10ml.com/pages/load_data/traj_basic_dat.html

I got this. 1" high at 50. 2" low at 125 and 5 inches low at 150. Recommend you sight in 3" high at 100 yards, if you do that your good out to just shy of 170 yards by MPBR.

If you switch toa Barnes Origonal 300g, the BC is .292, up your charge to 120g of Blackhorn so you shoot 2000 fpsand you can shoot to 200, MPBR, again sight in 3 high at 100. Here is the chart.I have done a lot of shooting and checking this bullet and the numbers are right from this program with the Barnes Origonal.
