FINALLY! I had my first excellent shooting session with the GPR. I had a couple flash in the pans when i was experimenting with the 4f charge and i ended up having to use a little over half a pan for the gun to go off istant. RMC liner has improved the rifles ability greatly.
All shots were at 58 yards with 80-90 and 100 grain charges of FFg Goex. I was sitting down on a log with my rifle also resting across a log "Hunting situation rest"
80 grain Load will be my Rendezvous shooting load for 50 yards, I will then use 100 grains for the 75 yard match "Shooting sticks allowed for 50 and 75 yard match"
All shots were with a Home Cast .530 round ball, these were all Wheel weight lead. Very hard! Two of them went right through my sand box with only 80 grains! Luckily i was able to recover them just a few feet behind the trap.
Rifle went off instant like a caplock which i am very thankful for. The 80 grain group it shot was just perfect for easy low powder charge shooting. Good deer hunting load too.
Almost forgot to mention i was using Ox-Yoke .015 Crisco Lubed patches and Zero swabbing between shots. Swabbing just aint no fun but i am going to try it the next time i take her out shooting just to see if it will make a difference.

Great shooting. Gotta love a rocklock when it's working right. You ought to try the FF in the pan as a comparison to FFFF - might surprise you.

Went back out and fired 5 more shots, fired off beautifully with zero hangfires/flash in the pans.
I didnt take any pics, The target was good but not like before. For the barrel not being swabbed even after those first 11 shots, Accuracy on the last 5 was nothing to complain about!
I used a different ball this time. These were the softer lead "Stick a weight" Wheel weights that are slightly harder than my powerbelt lead. I was surprised to see that these shot exactly where i aimed rather than shooting low. I think with this ball and the 80g charge, i could be ok out to 70 yards.
On my last shot, i took my time and just nailed the 1" orange dot dead center! I called it quits after that.
The wind had picked up and it started to get cold with the slight breeze.
Having a real blast with this GPR. Finally enjoying it now!
Have my target all packed down with new sand, new target and am ready to go again the next time it is warmer out.

EDIT:
I tried the 2f in the pan Semi. I tried a little bit like what your picture showed, flash in the pan. Did a little less than half a pan, BOOM! I checked the target. LMAO! It went directly into the last bulls eye hole! This SOB is accurate!
I did notice just a little slower ignition, Not that big but i think i can take it out by dropping the pan charge a little more.
Two shots into one of thise tiny 1" Orange dot circles!

You cast round ball with Wheel weight lead? This is possible? I have about 200 lb of the stuff and was sorely dissapointed to read that this is not reccommended because of different shrink rates. Do you do anything special in the process? If I can use this stuff I won't be buying bullets for a very long time.

It works just fine for round balls. Now with conicals it would be very hard to get them started unless you resized it for a slip fit.
They shoot accurate as heck in this rifle.
Round ball uses a patch as a gas seal and to slip the projectile so, the bullet never touches the rifling.
The only thing i do is i actually wash it first. Get most of the dirt off and then melt a big mug full of it. Stir it really good and then scrape all the other crap off it. I usually stir it every 15-20 minutes to make sure it stays clean.
Adding a little candle wax to the melted lead also helps bring out the crap that shouldnt be there.

frontier - nice shooting. I was going to say all that is needed is a minor sight adjustment. But you later said the softer balls shot at POA.
Keep up the good work.
