It works just fine for round balls. Now with conicals it would be very hard to get them started unless you resized it for a slip fit.

They shoot accurate as heck in this rifle.

Round ball uses a patch as a gas seal and to slip the projectile so, the bullet never touches the rifling.

The only thing i do is i actually wash it first. Get most of the dirt off and then melt a big mug full of it. Stir it really good and then scrape all the other crap off it. I usually stir it every 15-20 minutes to make sure it stays clean.

Adding a little candle wax to the melted lead also helps bring out the crap that shouldnt be there.
