i called Tc about the issues the guy at gander raised with me yesterday
as all you said he was wrong they said the same thing
but
I call them did not get anyone got one of the we will call you with in a day message.
My first thought was i would hear from them in a week like Mossberg
Well less then a hour later i got a call
The woman know her stuff.
She said they have never discontinued the triumph they add more models this year
And her husband shoot comp. and loves the gun .
She said it is guaranteed one inch or less at 100 yard which someone on he posted a link to a page that said they did not .
She said i could buy a omega scope that was set up for 200 250 and so on so once i sighted in at 100 i would be ready for 200 plus
I have never talked with rep from a company gun or anything that knew as much as she did.
Also something i did not know all Tc's are made in the USA.

Your information does not surprise me at all. When I read that there were safety issues with the rifle, I was kind of surprised. Thompson Center from what I understand along with Knight and many of the other companies do extensive testing of their rifles before they ever allow them to hit the consumer market. That is why a rifle might be scheduled for release, and suddenly the date is put back. Why they never say, but I suspect they either found something they wanted to fix, or something they could do to make the product even better.
I was not aware of the accuracy guarantee, which is very impressive. I also figured, like the Omega, if a BDC scope was put on the rifle there would be no reason it would not work on the Omega or the Triumph. In fact I am going to consider a Leupold with the BDC for the new Knight Disc Extreme with the Master Hunter barrel I ordered. I think that rifle should act in very much the same manner as an Omega or Triumph with an Omega scope. The Leupold and new rifleis kind of my treat to myself. And I do deserve it. I've been good a long time.
I handled a Triumph. And this might sound strange, but I did not like the feel of the stock. Also I opened the action to inspect that breech plug, and could not get the action to close again. So I felt kind of foolish. I liked the Omega much more, and had no problems with it, and the operations of it.
My favorite rifles to handle in the inline department has to be Knight rifles. Although my White UM is a sweet rifle to shoulder as well. I do not think you would go wrong with the Triumph. And a big thanks for taking the time to call them and get that all cleared up. If you ever get back to Gander Mountain and see that person from before, you might wish to enlighten him with your new knowledge and mention to him that he did you a great injustice by his prior actions.
Also check around before you buy one if you are going to do so.. There are some good deals out there. And I am not worried about on line purchases. Most of the stores will bend over backward (all but one) to make sure you are happy with your purchase.

My experience with TC has been similar. Great company.
A little off the topic, but there is a lot more to shooting 200+ than buying a preset scope and zeroing at 100. Even one Omega to another can vary significantly. Please respect the animal and verify both you and your gun's ability to perform at longer ranges before you hunt that far.

I bought a triumph last fall without handling itand when I got it I didnt like the feel of it a bit-but then I am used to knights. I shot it two different times and had a real problem getting any sabot down the bbl. I know t/c bbls are tight but this one was exceptionally tight. Know guys with others that were alot better. The first time I took the breech plug out to clean it I couldnt get the gun to close back up. Well I took the plug back out and and read the directions-Da-and everything was fine after that. Its a little tricky untill ya do it a couple times. Nice feature. Anyway I like the T/c guns but the Triumph just wasnt for me.

I have a Triump and have tried a wide range of loads in it including some 150gr 777 other than the fact that it shoots some loads better than others which I believe you will find true of any fire arm. I have several loads that will shoot minute of angle and believe that to expect more of a muzzle loader than that is foolish. Any one of my favorite loads will ring a 20inch gong at 240 yds [ my longest target] real regular as long as I dont have to fight a strong gusty wind. I shoot my Triumph in preferance to any other inlines, I like my Knight and my Omega but I dont have wheels for the Knight and the Omega is a lot more of a pain to clean so the Triumph goes most often. i will of coarse shoot the gun at the range i want to hunt
as a new hunter and never shooting a muzzle loader i was worried about how to figure out how high to aim at 200
so i will buy a scope with the Bdc i guest it is called
but i will shoot out to 200+ or not hunt that far
i was surprised about the accuracy to
also she told me the omega scope is made in china not the USA.
Which i thought was surprising she said so
and that her husband liked Leupold
most people will not tell you what to buy unless it is there product
