Default Knight wolverine conversion to a 209?

A guy is giving me two knight wolverines that take the small caps. Can you convert them to take the 209 primer instead? And what are these guns worth, $50?

Didn't find one to convert the Wolverine, but maybe if you contact Knight (don't mention the $50 thing) and act real sweet,...they may be able to steer you in the right direction.

Or...you may be stuck with the caps. Caps aren't bad, all kinds of folks use them with great success in sidelocks and older inlines.

I have a knight usak. using #11's. I looked into the conversions. $57 - $60. I played with the idea for about 3 months. that is until I took a deer with the set up that I have.

My hunting partner converted a wolverine because he had 2 other Knight's that used 209 discs

It can be done but a musket cap usually gives as good or better results and all that takes is the right nipple. Lee

The Wolverines if in good condition are worth $100-$150 on most auction sites. Shoot 85 grains of loose powder and use a #11 cap and I think you will be more then glad with the way the rifles shoot. I personally would not convert them, but if you feel the need for blow more fire into a breech plug, then have at it. I never had a #11 fail to fire the rifle yet with loose powder.
