Default Knight Wolverine Conversion Kit

Have one of the older versions of the rifle that uses the #11 percussion cap. Is is worth the $80 to convert to the 209 ignitor? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If you are doing OK with what you are shooting now, I wouldn't change.
Unlees you just feel like messing with something new for a change.

I converted my Black Knight BK91 over to 209 last year. I haven't noticed anything good or bad with effects on accuracy, but I "feel" much better about ignition reliability and have never had a misfire since.
It works for my type of hunting on the National Forest ATV trails, because I have to pull the ignition source off everytime I get back on my quad. The 209 makes that easier to do, plus I don't ever trust reusing a #11 once I pull it off the nipple.
I'd say, a plus for reliability and no real negative...except for the price. $80 sounds high. Even Cabela's has the Extreme kit for $50 and they are high on prices!

I would spend the extra money and convert. The 209 gives you a hotter ignition, less chance for a miss fire. I have converted my Wolverine from cap to 209. I would not look back. The $80 is high as mentioned above check around you should be able to get it around $40 to $50 for the conversion kit.

Converted my wolverine last year with good results. I didn't notice any added advantage in accuracy either but the ignition is great.

I believe the chance of a miss fire if you are loading properly is almost nill.

80.00 is alot of money to spend on a gun that probably cost you a little over 200 new.
