sight out of adjustment

Default sight out of adjustment

i have an optima pro. i am dead on at 50 yards but my rear sight is slid the whole way up and out of adjustment.shooting 100gr pyrodex and 295gr powerbelt.what is wrong and how can i get my rear sight back down so i have more adjustment.

plastic sights or the steel durabrights? I'd call cva and ask them, Im sure they'll get the problem fixed for you.

Also, You're using to much powder with those 295 grain powerbelts.

durasights,im going to co. this sept. for elk. planning on using 338gr powerbelt and 100gr powder.just using the 295s for practice before sighting in with 338gr.

oh ok. I'll be ordering an assortment of powerbelts and posting the results of the platinums.

I'd give cva a call about the sights and see what they say.

What part of CO you going to?

Not sure about your rifle, but I had a problem with the sights on another brand inlinenot having enough adjustment. When I called they said the sights were regulated for a max (150 grain) load with a light bullet. I could either use more powder or a lighter bullet, or scope it. I didn't like those choices so I found it a new home.

i called cva and they are sending me a new set of sights at no charge.they said they redesigned them since my gun(2004).i always had a scope on it. they said i should be ok with the ones they are sending.I hope so.

Good to hear that CVA took care of you. Good luck at sighting it in. And you need really good luck with getting an elk! I was hunting unit 36 last year and 80-85 degree days didnt help elk hunting one bit

Come to think of it, Didnt help deer hunting either!
