Buffalo ball-ette or Hornady PA Conical where to buy?
#1
My NewEnglander .50 seem to prefer short conicals. So far the best performer is a Lee 320 gr REAL. I've tried other (longer) conicals and didn't get nearly as good of groups.
I'm thinking of trying either Buffalo Ball-ettes or Hornady PA Conicals. Any suggestions on where to find them?
And any guesses on what kind of accuracy to expect?
Oddly enough, the second best shooting projectile has been a 350 grain .458 (Lee R/F nose design)cast lead bullet in an MMP orange sabot.

Can't help you with locating those bullets, but my NE likes the 250 grain Lee R.E.A.L with 90 grains Pyrodex and a Circle Fly1/16" vegetable fiber wad.

Thunder Ridge is where I used to buy all my ball-et. Then they had a sale on them so I bought them out of stock. The last time I was there they did not have any. They might have some back in there by now though.

Went ahead and order a 250 grain REAL mould. Might as well try something I can make myself, first.
